Aidan Newland is a London-based saxophonist, pianist, composer, and music educator with over a decade of experience performing live. A First-Class Honours graduate in Jazz from Leeds Conservatoire, Aidan has built a reputation as a versatile and expressive musician, seamlessly blending jazz, soul, and pop influences into his playing.
In addition to his work as a live performer, Aidan is also a recording artist and composer. His debut EP, Home, showcases his deep-rooted connection to jazz and storytelling through music. It blends warm saxophone melodies with rich harmonies and thoughtful arrangements. The project reflects his musical journey, capturing themes of nostalgia, place, and personal growth.
Aidan's passion for music extends across multiple roles—whether as a solo artist, bandleader, or educator. As a performer, he has played at a wide range of venues, from intimate jazz clubs to weddings, corporate functions, and high-profile events. His ability to create an engaging atmosphere, whether with smooth background jazz or an energetic party set alongside a DJ, has made him a sought-after live musician. He also leads That DAMN Quartet, a jazz quartet known for its sophisticated blend of jazz, pop and R&B.
Aidan is equally dedicated to music education, having previously taught at Whitmore High School (Harrow) before focusing on private tuition. He offers personalised saxophone, piano, and music theory lessons, helping students of all levels develop their skills and confidence. His patient, adaptable teaching style ensures a supportive learning environment tailored to each individual’s goals.
